Ruby Robinson is a distinguished jazz singer based between London and Essex, UK. Gracing stages for over a decade, she has performed at prestigious leading London venues such as HEADLINING Upstairs’s at Ronnie Scotts, Café de Paris, Nightjar Carnaby, and Le QuecumBar, to delivering SOLD OUT performances at The Crazy Coqs, Piccadilly (2021 & 2024)
& The Pheasantry Jazz Club, Chelsea (2020 & 2021).
Having grown up surrounded by Jazz, Big Band and Swing music, Ruby’s professional journey commenced aged sixteen when she landed a role as the lead vocalist for
The Melvin Beddow Big Band, paving the way to her role as a lead and group vocalist in
The Glenn Miller Story UK Tour. She has since toured nationwide and beyond with various big bands and swinging jazz combos, and performed at esteemed venues and events including the RHS Malvern Spring Festival, HQ & Ambassador Theatres, Swing 46 Jazz and Supper Club, New York City, and featured as a guest vocalist at The Big Band Blitz 1940’s Gala showcased on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing!

Influenced by the iconic jazz divas and big band leaders of the golden age, Ruby is well known for her dynamic stage presence and flair, her warm vocal tone, her emotional ability within her storytelling, and her excellent stylistic technique. With her repertoire inspired from over 100 years of music, her passion for the Great American Songbook brings a traditional and finessed yet refreshing and timeless approach to audiences, simply transporting you back in time!
In the new year, Ruby will be returning back to the studio with her quintet to release more music, whilst continuing a series of public and private
live performance dates throughout the UK.
